Technology

Contractiva is built on top of the Zend platform, a world-class development platform offering unprecedented flexibility, extensibility, and scalability. As an official partner, we are committed to delivering industry-leading software, and security standards. Through the use of proven scalable technologies such as Memcache and ORM methodologies, Contractiva employs a modern and enterprise web application framework built for the mission critical.

Hosting and Backup Policy

Contractiva owns and manages rack servers in 3 geographically-distributed datacentres, in London, Amsterdam and Dallas. This allows us to provide fully distributed software installations with exceptional performance and latency. In addition to rack servers, we use Amazon cloud computing where required in order to benefit from Amazon’s scaling and security infrastructure and to deploy new servers within minutes of our requirements changing.

As standard, full system backups are run daily, this includes all databases and the file system data. These backups are first backed-up within our server environment, then remotely backed-up to an off-site server in a separate datacentre. As an additional failover, data is also backed-up to a separate server within the Amazon S3 storage network.

Depending on internal data policies, we can run replicated or incremental backup policies for client installations, ensuring that in the event of a system disaster, zero data loss would be incurred.

SSL Security

Contractiva runs over 128-bit encrypted SSL. We can purchase SSL certificates on behalf of our clients or install existing certificates on our servers. We have worked with all major SSL providers and clients can choose which provider to use.
